Coupling decades of machine design and engineering experience and world-class manufacturing capabilities together positions R-V Industries as Your Partner in Papermaking® for complete machine replacement. Through our history as LG Industries, which was acquired by R-V in 2001, we’ve built our capabilities to provide complete machine replacements for paper, boxboard, and nonwoven mills. As a company with annual revenues of $50mm, 260 employees, and in-house machining and manufacturing, we have the resources to support the scope of an entire machine replacement.
Our process is built around maximizing efficiency in the production process. This helps ensure production targets can be effectively achieved, minimizing utility consumption and maintenance needs. However, production is only one component of a successful machine. Through a proper understanding of the different types of grades and materials our customers produce, we use roll calculations and dryer can allocation to create a quality finished product. But more importantly, our work speaks for itself.
“The very first reel of paper produced off this hybrid machine [provided by R-V Industries] was salable, thus speaking volumes of the equipment, its installation and the knowledge, experience and persistence of all those involved.” – PaperAge writer John Yolton
The key to our approach in proper installations that minimize production issues manufacturing sections and whole machine replacements is our FAT process. The talented assembly team starts the process by mounting the sections on soleplates as in the mill. After the foundation is set, the machine is assembled and digitally measured to ensure the hand-off locations between sections correspond between every section. This process matches in-mill environments to create a seamless installation process as the final step in the new machine investment.
