This commitment is more than just words. Every employee has stop-work authority. In doing that, employees are empowered to ensure that quality manufacturing standards are met. We have strict procedures in place to produce quality equipment and address any quality issues as they arise.

Manufacturability as a Filter for Spotting Design Flaws

We strive to save time, resources, and money throughout the entire manufacturing process. These questions are addressed through the lens of manufacturability. By definition, manufacturability is simply the ease with which a piece of equipment can be built (or manufactured).

For example, when designing our products, we evaluate how manufacturable they are in the design stages before we lay a weld. Through this collaborative process with customer designers, our manufacturing experts identify potential production risks and make suggestions to refine the design to make the manufacturing process smoother and more efficient.

Experience Across Weld Procedures

Our personnel’s understanding of alloys ensures that we use the most appropriate alloy and weld procedures for a particular application. We vette our suppliers who run supplied material through a series of tests for composition, heat treatment, and mechanical properties to ensure our equipment meets customer requirements.

The quality program includes 450 certified weld procedures, encompassing robotic and hand welding procedures. To support our talented staff, we’ve invested in automated welding and manufacturing technology for repeated processes. This keeps quality consistent on overlay and repeated weld seams while focusing uniquely talented employees to specialized welding processes. After manufacturing is completed, our quality department conducts appropriate non-destructive tests, such as liquid dye penetrant and hydro tests, to verify the integrity of critical welds.

We have dozens of weld procedures for specialty alloys used in high specification projects. Customers across biotechnology, chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, oil, and gas industries have trusted our welding expertise with alloy grades including Inconel, Hastelloy, Duplex, and Super Duplex Stainless Steels. Weld procedures can be supported by material traceability reports for industry and customer requirements.
